We need bees. While we may take them and other pollinators for granted, these organisms are key to the varied, colorful and nutritious diets we need and have come to expect.
You're invited to Wildwood for the Faculty Speaker Series presentation, "Keepin' Bees." During this lecture, community beekeeper Scott Allred and environmental scientist Katie Siech will discuss the seasonal aspects of bee keeping - from producing honey to pollinating crops. Along with sharing details about the bees, they offer ways we as a community can assist honey bees and native bees in their survival.
This presentation is free and open to the public. Open seating and a light reception begins at 6:30 p.m.
Reservations are encouraged. Follow this link to learn more about the Faculty Speaker Series and RSVP to attend: stlcc.edu/wildwoodspeakers
